Service Delivery
for children and young people

Health Connections are experts in child and youth health. Health Connections are culturally responsive. Health Connections deliver expert health services to children and young people in non-health environments – that is at education placements, at Oranga Tamariki placements and temporary home placements.

Health Connections child and youth specialty enhanced primary care model is strength-based and underpinned clinically by evidenced-based practice. Our model is borne out of Health Connections previous and current understanding and experience of delivering health services to children and young people.

Model Presentation

The health services that Health Connections deliver are innovative and responsive to the diverse holistic health needs of all children and young people, in particular Maori and Pasifika.

Health Connections have committed skilled cultural, clinical and operational teams. We have the demonstrated ability of successful partnering and collaboration to promote and enhance outcomes for children and young people.

What are people saying about our clinical services?

  • A really positive and validating training experience for our RNs working within the CAMH’s services here in BOP DHB. Health Connections have been successful in supporting the nurses to revisit and enhance their core nursing clinical skills with regard to physical health assessment for children and youth they work with. The nurses have fed back that the training has been a great revalidation of their skills and professional identity within the CAMHS setting. Expert and knowledgeable facilitators!”
